1. We offer a service of Christian and Biblical Counselling - we have a team of
trained counsellors in biblical counselling. Individual clients are seen by
appointment. There is no fixed charge for this service, but donations are
welcome.
From time to time Biblical Counselling courses are held for those in churches
wishing to have training.
2. Prayer Ministry - A regular intercession meeting is held on the second
Tuesday of each month 7.30 - 9.30 p.m. in our coffee lounge to seek the Lord for
the ministries of Canaan.
We also pray for individual needs when people ring or visit us.
Sometimes it is necessary tot make an appointment.
3. United meetings - we have over the years organised joint celebration meetings
and authors events to bring the churches in the area together.
4. Preaching and deputation work. Some of our team go out to take services and
to speak at church meetings.
We are sometimes asked to take bookstalls and to do book reviews.
5. Information resource. Many people come to us for information regarding
churches and meetings etc. We have a notice board for display of handbills and
often take telephone queries.
6. Retreats and Quiet Days. - we organise or are involved in prayer and teaching
retreats both locally and in France.
7. Bethanie Christian Centre, Normandy, France. We have been closely associated
with this retreat and holiday centre near Lisieux since it was set up. We
organise and take groups out for fellowship weekends and retreats.
8. Churches Together - we are involved in our local Churches Together group and
in the fraternal for church leaders in the area, which we help to organise and
support.
9. Supporting missions abroad - our staff have been involved over the years in
supporting mission work in various countries including Albania, Peru, South
Africa France and Nigeria.
